Manhattan Institute's Mark Mills Named Energy Writer of the Year

NEW YORK, Dec. 19, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Manhattan Institute is pleased to announce that Senior Fellow Mark Mills has been named Energy Writer of the Year by the American Energy Society. The AES recognized Mills for his ability to make complex energy concepts accessible to a general audience and the critical context he provides to energy developments. Mills' recent work includes reports on the shifting geopolitics of oil and the increasing vulnerability of electric grids. He was a leading advocate of repealing the oil export ban, which was lifted in December 2015. He is also the co-author of "The Bottomless Well: The Twilight of Fuel, The Virtue of Waste and Why We Will Never Run Out Of Energy" (Basic Books, 2005), which Bill Gates called "the only book I've seen that really explains energy, its history, and what it will be like going forward."
