Lubrizol and Danquinsa Showcase TPU Specialties at Fakuma 2015
BARCELONA, Spain, September 30, 2015 - Lubrizol Advanced Materials S.S.L. (FKA Merquinsa) announces that it will be featuring its latest thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) innovations for the transportation and adhesives markets, alongside its distributor Danquinsa GmbH, at Fakuma 2015. Danquinsa GmbH will be present at booth #B4-4507. The Fakuma International trade fair for plastics processing takes place in Friedrichshafen, Germany from October 13-17.
Danquinsa's long-term partnership with Merquinsa, now Lubrizol Advanced Materials S.S.L., has provided the German, Swiss and Austrian markets with TPU specialty resins (Pearlthane(TM) and Pearlcoat(TM) TPU) for injection molding, extrusion, and calendaring applications, along with TPU adhesive solutions (Pearlbond(TM) and Pearlstick(TM) TPU), for almost 30 years.
Recent developments with Pearlcoat ACTIVA TPU in transportation applications, guarantee outstanding haptics (comfort), a low gloss/matt appearance and soft touch for thermoformed, extruded or co-extruded parts with polar substrates ( e.g., ABS, PC, PVC). The TPU layer grants a longer life span, color diversity, UV resistance and top performing mechanical properties. As a result, automotive parts sitting on trays can now avoid damage and any type of contamination during transportation. Additionally, Lubrizol will be spotlighting its non- yellowing TPU portfolio for light colors and new soft, non-plasticized, specialty TPU for hot melt adhesives (HMAs).
According to Fabio Morelli, distribution manager for EMEA, "At Lubrizol we have a broad-range of TPU technologies available to solve our customers toughest application needs. From bio-based* and aliphatic, to electrostatic dissipative and adhesive solutions, Lubrizol continues to evolve with innovative specialties focused on key markets. Our relationship with Danquinsa allows us to supply these key markets with our joint services and advanced solutions."
