Local Food Pantry Receives Donation from Blue Marsh Insurance
HONEY BROOK, PA (PRWEB) April 24, 2015
Local independent insurance agency, Blue Marsh Insurance in partnership with one of its carriers, Grange Insurance, has donated $566.00 to the Honey Brook Food Pantry.
This donation is just one way Blue Marsh contributes to the community. Through their referral program, a different non-profit organization each month receives a donation based on the number of referrals they gain.
"Blue Marsh Insurance is dedicated to giving back to our community. One of our goals is sharing with others," says President Tom Davenport.
For more information on the referral program, visit http://www.bluemarsh.com.
The Honey Brook Food Pantry is made possible by the efforts of over 80 volunteers who help serve 700 individuals in need each month as well as over 540 "food insecure" families registered with the pantry.
Everything from personal hygiene products to canned items are accepted donations. Other foods that are most in demand include: pasta, pasta sauce, rice, instant potatoes, cereal, soup, peanut butter, jelly, mac & cheese and tuna. Grocery store gift cards are also in need to purchase the meats, dairy and produce which are difficult to secure through the public programs.
Donations can be dropped off at door #8 of the Good Food Distribution Center located at 5064 Horseshoe Pike, Honey Brook, PA 19344. All donations are fully tax deductible. To find out more about the Honey Brook Food Pantry and how you can help, please contact Ken Ross at (610) 291-0067 or Donna Horvath at (610) 633-9337.
