Offering the Best Care for Your Furry Best Friend, Dogtopia of Owings Mills Is Set to Open July 21

OWINGS MILLS, Md., June 30, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Dogtopia, the nation's leading dog wellness franchise, is opening a new location in Owings Mills on July 21. Located at 10989 Red Run Blvd, Dogtopia of Owings Mills will provide award-winning dog daycare, boarding and spa services to dog parents in the community. As a welcome gift, the new location is offering 50% off unlimited daycare for the remainder of the year for the first 75 pet parents who enroll.

Providing personalized care for Owings Mills pups in a fun, enriching, and safe environment, Dogtopia sets the industry standard among daycares with a focus on socialization, exercise, and education. Dogtopia allows dogs to enjoy plenty of exercise, play with like-minded dogs, and learn important social skills, all under the supervision of professionally trained Canine Coaches. All dogs undergo a careful evaluation to ensure they're ready for the high-energy, social play environment, including a thorough head-to-tail health check before entering and heading home. Strict vaccine and spay/neuter policies are enforced to keep everyone safe. Dogtopia of Owings Mills is owned by Maryland native Heather Davis, a seasoned franchise and marketing professional with deep roots in the region. Prior to franchising, Davis led national PR and marketing initiatives for several major franchise brands, including serving as Director of the Creative Team at Kiddie Academy. After the pandemic, she and her family decided it was time to open a business of their own where they could grow locally. She signed a two-unit development agreement and launched her first Dogtopia in Towson two years ago. Recognizing the clear need for quality dog daycare and limited options in Owings Mills, she chose the community for her second location. Dogtopia of Owings Mills will officially open to the public on Sunday, July 21. Ahead of that, a soft opening will take place the week of July 14 with shortened hours from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The location will host two open houses open to all dogs and pet owners - Tuesday, July 16 from 4:30–6:00 p.m. and Saturday, July 19 from 10:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m., featuring light refreshments, facility tours, staff meet-and-greets, and the opportunity to sign up for the Founders Offer before it expires after the final open house. During the soft opening, meet-and-greet evaluations and free daycare will be available only for pet parents who have secured a Founders Offer; boarding and spa services will not yet be offered.
