Lee Wrubel, M.D., Joins Egon Zehnder in New York

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Egon Zehnder, a global leader in executive search and leadership advisory services, today announced that Lee Wrubel, M.D., has joined the firm’s New York office as an executive recruitment consultant and strategic talent advisor. Dr. Wrubel has more than 20 years of experience working across health care delivery, management consulting and venture capital. As a member of Egon Zehnder’s global Health and Private Equity Practices, he will provide strategic counsel on executive search, leadership development, and management appraisals.

Prior to joining Egon Zehnder, Dr. Wrubel was a venture capitalist for over 20 years, most recently as a General Partner at Flare Capital (formerly known as Foundation Medical Partners), a healthcare technology venture capital firm he cofounded in 2001. An active board member, he helped develop management teams across more than two dozen portfolio companies, including early stage medical devices, healthcare IT, and biopharmaceuticals enterprises. Earlier, he was an investment professional with Highland Capital Partners and Canaan Partners, working closely with the management of numerous private companies. Dr. Wrubel began his business career as a consultant at The Wilkerson Group, a healthcare-focused management consulting company. He was previously a pediatric intern at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York. He has served as an Executive in Residence at Columbia University, and is a member of the Advisory Board of the Eugene Lang Center for Entrepreneurship at Columbia Business School.
