Leader Capital Corp. Announces Leader Global Bond Fund

PORTLAND, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Leader Capital Corp., a Registered Investment Advisor and broker-dealer, last week announced launch of the Leader Global Bond Fund (tickers: LGBIX, LGBMX, LGBAX, LGCBX). The new offering complements their existing fund lineup of the Leader Short Term Bond Fund and Leader Total Return Fund, both of which are rated 5 stars by Morningstar.

“Given that global central banks will continue to print money and hold interest rates low for an extended period time, the opportunities in oversees corporate bonds will provide significantly higher returns with less overall risk (duration and credit),” CEO John Lekas said.

The fund aims to deliver a high level of current income as well as capital appreciation by investing in fixed income securities across the globe. The fund will maintain a minimum 40 percent exposure to non-U.S. and emerging market bonds and can be fully denominated in foreign currencies. In addition, the fund will be investment grade and can invest up to 40 percent in below-investment grade securities.

It will be co-managed by portfolio managers John Lekas, CEO, and Scott Carmack, portfolio manager, who manage both of the firm’s other funds. Lekas has 28 years of investment experience, while Carmack has been in the industry for 13 years. They will be supported by analyst Nathan Barnard, who has seven years of investment experience. Leader Capital Corp. currently manages $1.2 billion in fixed income assets.
