LactaLogics Appoints Maureen Crissy as Director of Clinical Engagement
With over 30 years of experience, Crissy will advance clinician education and expand the use of human milk-based nutrition for neonates.
PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla., Jan. 16, 2025 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- LactaLogics is proud to announce the appointment of Maureen Crissy, RN, BSN, IBCLC, as Director of Clinical Engagement. With more than 30 years of experience in lactation, healthcare education, and hospital sales management, Crissy will lead efforts to connect with clinicians nationwide and support the adoption of human milk-based nutrition in neonatal care.
Crissy's career spans a variety of leadership roles. She founded Mama Bean Lactation Services, providing clinical lactation to mothers. At Ameda, Inc., she excelled as a top sales representative, expanding access to breast pumps and lactation education while securing state contracts to improve human milk availability. Additionally, Crissy served as a breastfeeding program instructor at Florida State University's Center for Prevention and Early Intervention Program.
Beyond her professional roles, Crissy has demonstrated leadership in lactation. She currently serves on the executive board of the Florida Lactation Consultant Association (FLCA) and is a founding board member of HMBANA's Mother's Milk Bank of Florida, playing a key role in expanding access to donor human milk across the state.
"Maureen's unique blend of clinical expertise and healthcare industry experience makes her an invaluable addition to LactaLogics," said Chelly Snow, COO and co-founder of LactaLogics. "Her hands-on work with thousands of mothers has given her a deep understanding of the challenges families face and her real-world perspective uniquely positions her to drive meaningful change. Maureen's leadership is what we need as we transform access to donor milk for families nationwide."
In her new role, Crissy will collaborate with hospitals to integrate donor human milk into neonatal intensive care units (NICUs) while working with lactation consultants and mothers to facilitate supplementation with shelf-stable donor human milk, a brand-new option for parents. Her efforts will focus on fostering partnerships, streamlining clinical processes, and ensuring access to the resources clinicians and families need to succeed.
"I've dedicated my career to increasing access to human milk because it changes lives—for babies, moms, and families," said Crissy. "This role is an exciting opportunity to unite clinicians in our shared mission of expanding access to this vital resource. I am excited to collaborate with clinicians and organizations to ensure infants have the best chance of an exclusive breast milk diet from the start."
