Kristi Fox Named Securian’s First Chief Diversity Officer
ST. PAUL, Minn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Securian Financial Group has named Kristi L. Fox chief diversity officer and vice president for talent solutions, a new position for the growing 137-year old financial services company.

Fox, who has been with Securian for 21 years, is charged with leading the company’s diversity, inclusion and engagement strategies, talent acquisition and development, employee benefits, and employee relations.
“Kristi has a proven track record of demonstrating strong leadership and generating meaningful results. She is well positioned for this new assignment, which is a first for our company,” said Kathy Pinkett, Securian’s senior vice president of human resources and corporate services. “Cultivating a more diverse, inclusive workplace is key to our future success as a business and as an employer of choice in Minnesota and beyond.”
Fox joined Securian in 1995, fresh out of college from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, where she studied business and psychology. Over the years, she has held a variety of positions of increasing responsibility within two of the company’s business lines. Most recently, Fox served as a vice president for Securian’s Group Insurance business, where she was responsible for all employer client relationships and played a key leadership role in strategic planning and execution.

While working for Securian, Fox earned an MBA from the University of St. Thomas in 2002 and the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®) certification from the American College of Financial Services in 2014. She was a member of the Children’s Museum of Minnesota’s board of directors from 2010 to 2016.
Fox lives in Lakeland, Minn., with her husband and their son.
