Kentucky Legend Partners with Competitive Bass Angler Andrew Krintz

Partnership celebrates a "Legend in the Making" as Krintz makes his career in professional fishing.

OWENSBORO, Ky., Oct. 6, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Kentucky Legend, maker of premium ham and bacon, is proud to announce a partnership with competitive bass angler Andrew Krintz — a young fisherman Kentucky Legend believes is a Legend in the Making.

Krintz has loved fishing since childhood. Today, he competes for Purdue University in collegiate tournaments across the country, where he has qualified for a national collegiate championship. His sights are now set professionally on angling within Major League Fishing.

For Kentucky Legend, the partnership is about more than fishing. It's about supporting someone who shares the values that have defined the brand for generations: a love of tradition, family, community and doing something you love with everything you've got.

"Andrew is exactly the kind of person we mean when we talk about a Legend in the Making," said Mike Riley, Chief Growth Officer. "He's talented and driven, but he's also incredibly grounded. We love his story, his connection to family and tradition, and the genuine joy he gets from being out on the water. We're excited to be along for the ride."

And Kentucky Legend is a pretty natural fit for that ride.

Tournament days often start before sunrise and stretch for hours before weigh-in, and Andrew has been known to bring a ham sandwich along to keep him going. Kentucky Legend has a variety of ham, bacon, lunchmeat, and hot dogs that are perfect for lunch in a boat or bringing your family together at home.

"I've loved fishing since I was a kid, and getting to compete at this level is something I've dreamed about for a long time," said Krintz. "To have Kentucky Legend believe in me and become part of this journey means a lot. And I'm definitely not complaining about having Kentucky Legend ham sandwiches in the boat."

The partnership will follow Krintz on and off the water, from early mornings and long tournament days to travel, weigh-ins and the people and communities that make competitive fishing special.

For Kentucky Legend, it's a chance to support a legend in the making while becoming part of the traditions, friendships and shared meals that happen well beyond the dinner table.
