Janney Announces Hiring of Additional New Research Analyst Covering Biotechnology

PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Janney Montgomery Scott LLC, a full-service financial services, wealth management and capital markets firm employing over 1,800 employees across 100 locations, announced today the hiring of a new senior research analyst, Debjit Chattopadhyay, Ph.D., who will be covering the Biotechnology sector based out of Janney’s Philadelphia headquarters. Debjit’s coverage will be primarily focused on gene therapy, anti-infectives, oncology, and rare disease.

Debjit has been a senior publishing analyst for 6 years and comes to Janney, most recently, from Roth Capital Partners, where he was instrumental in significantly expanding their healthcare franchise.

Debjit received his Ph.D. from the University of Connecticut and also spent four years doing postdoctoral studies at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where he focused on Leukemia and Pharmacology. He also earned an MBA from Drexel University’s LeBow College of Business.
