Ghobadi is currently the founder of the Law Offices of Jahangir Ghobadi, P.C., where he also serves as a private attorney who specializes in the areas of immigration law, family law, bankruptcy, and business law.

Before he became a practicing attorney, Ghobadi was a career diplomat for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in his home country of Iran. He is affiliated with the District of Columbia Bar Association and Virginia State Bar Association.
