InventHelp Inventors Develop New Thermal Capacitor Water Heater (TLS-849)

PITTSBURGH, Aug. 22, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- "I discovered a phenomenon that when a polar liquid (water) is placed between the plates of a capacitor connected to an alternating current source it heats up. We thought this could be utilized for water heaters," said one of two inventors, from Tampa, Fla., "so we invented the THERMAL CAPACITOR. Our design would offer a more efficient water heater option."

The invention provides a new water heater designed to heat water indirectly via thermal conduction. In doing so, it would be more efficient than current water heaters. As a result, it helps save electricity. The invention features an innovative and efficient design that is easy to operate so it is ideal for commercial buildings and households. Additionally, a prototype is available.
