InventHelp Inventor Develops New Toilet Lid Comfort Pad (OCC-1830)

April 8, 2026 10:00 AM EDT

PITTSBURGH, April 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- "My wife has ALS and has lost muscle strength in her back, causing her backbone to protrude and making it difficult for her to sit. I wanted to create a more comfortable way for her to sit on a toilet seat," said an inventor, from Lake Forest, Calif., "so I invented the TOILET LID COMFORT PAD. My design would effectively ease back bone pain for users."

The patent-pending invention provides a specially designed cover for the inside of the toilet lid against the user's back. In doing so, it offers maximum comfort for the back when using the toilet seat. As a result, it eliminates the need to lean against a hard surface, and it reduces back pain. The invention features a durable design that is easy to install and use so it is ideal for individuals with back issues. Additionally, a prototype model and technical drawings are available upon request.

The original design was submitted to the Orange County sales office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
