PITTSBURGH, Sept. 14, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- "My newborn struggled to sleep without nursing. I thought there should be a pacifier that would mimic a mother and her natural scent to help calm and soothe a baby," said an inventor, from Weaver, Ala., "so I invented the NIPLI. My design would give babies unmatched comfort and bonding, even when the mom was not near."

The invention provides a modified pacifier to help soothe a baby. In doing so, it offers an alternative to traditional pacifiers that lack the natural look, feel, and scent of a real nursing experience. As a result, it increases comfort and bonding. It also may reduce separation anxiety. The invention features a unique design that is easy to use so it is ideal for parents with babies. Additionally, a prototype model and technical drawings are available upon request.

The original design was submitted to the Birmingham sales office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
