Intersignal Releases Braid 1.9.5, Expanding Local AI Model Choice

Free workspace supports Ollama, vLLM and LM Studio, with Folio publishing built in.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Oct. 21, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Intersignal today announced Braid 1.9.5, expanding its local AI workspace with support for vLLM, LM Studio and other OpenAI-compatible local inference servers alongside Ollama.

The update gives users more flexibility to choose how they run their models while working within Braid's environment for conversations, sharing selected context between approved computers, and preparing publications.

A clearer "Chat with Local AI" entry point helps users get started on a single computer. Updated streaming responses add readable Markdown and code formatting, with additional rigs available to connect as their needs grow.

Braid 1.9.5 is available for macOS, Windows and Linux. Local chat, approved local network sharing and Folio are free.
