Inland Empire Health Plan earns second Excellence in Procurement recognition

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif., July 31, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- For the second year in a row, Inland Empire Health Plan (IEHP) has received an Achievement of Excellence in Procurement^® Award from the National Procurement Institute, Inc. (NPI).

IEHP is one of 216 organizations across the nation to earn the designation this year and is the only health plan named to NPI's list of 2025 recipients. IEHP was recognized for its efforts in adopting technology to improve efficiency and collaboration with its external vendor network.

Vendors who work with IEHP were also surveyed as part of the consideration process. Questions varied but focused primarily on the organization's professionalism in establishing a collaborative experience between the health plan and its vendors.

NPI established the Achievement in Excellence in Procurement program in 1995 to recognize county, city, school district and other agencies for their organizational excellence in public procurement. Organizations must meet award criteria designed to measure innovation, professionalism and productivity.
