Illinois American Water Announces New Director of Engineering

BELLEVILLE, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Brent O’Neill has been promoted to Director of Engineering for Illinois American Water. In this role, O’Neill will manage and coordinate capital investment projects and engineering activities in Illinois.

O’Neill joined Illinois American Water in 1996 as an engineer in Champaign County. Throughout the years, he held several management roles for Illinois American Water including network operations manager, senior asset manager and project manager. In May 2013, he was promoted to Director of Engineering for Kentucky American Water and Tennessee American Water, a position he held until returning to Illinois as the Director of Engineering.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the Eastern Illinois University and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Illinois.
