HirschmannPrivate Extends Session Continuity to All Browser Traders
TORONTO, July 10, 2025. HirschmannPrivate has rolled out a session continuity update that preserves a trader's open charts, active price alerts, and saved watchlists when they move from one device to another using a browser. The update applies across desktop, tablet, and mobile browsers without requiring any additional software or a dedicated application.
The change addresses a persistent friction point identified through internal platform analytics tracking session resumption patterns. A significant share of active traders interrupted a session on one device and then logged back in on a second, only to find their chart layouts and alert configurations had not carried over. The continuity update synchronises those settings on the server so they are available the moment the next session opens, regardless of which browser or device initiates it.
"Our analytics showed that a meaningful proportion of traders who switched devices mid-session spent the first several minutes of the new session reconstructing the same chart views they had left behind," said a spokesperson for HirschmannPrivate. "That is time taken away from watching the market, and it was entirely avoidable. The update removes that friction at the account level, without requiring any action from the trader."
Charts, Alerts, and Positions That Follow the Session
At the centre of the update is a synchronisation layer that records a trader's active chart configuration whenever they make a change. That configuration includes the selected instrument, timeframe, indicator settings, and any drawn annotations. The state is retrieved automatically when the same account opens a new browser session on a different device.
The synchronisation covers the full charting workspace. Traders who have applied multiple indicators, adjusted colour schemes, or added horizontal levels to mark price areas of interest will find those settings intact when they resume elsewhere. The system captures the most recent configuration rather than a snapshot from the start of the previous session, so a chart edited five minutes before closing one browser will reflect those edits when a second session opens shortly after.
Open position data was already visible across devices through the standard account layer. What the continuity update adds is the preservation of the surrounding analytical context: the charts being watched alongside those positions, and the alerts configured to monitor specific price levels or percentage moves.
Accessing the Platform Through a Browser Across Devices
The continuity features operate entirely within the HirschmannPrivate browser environment. Traders accessing the platform through a tablet or mobile browser receive the same synchronised workspace as those on desktop, with no need to install or maintain a separate application.
The browser approach matters for traders who use shared or managed devices, or who work across operating systems where maintaining consistent application versions becomes complicated. A trader who monitors positions on a desktop at one location and reviews the same account through a browser on a different machine later in the day now works from a consistent analytical starting point each time, rather than having to recall and rebuild the previous layout from memory.
The platform's mobile browser rendering has been updated in parallel to support the full indicator library available on desktop. A chart configured on a larger screen carries over in complete form rather than being simplified to match a reduced feature set on the smaller device.
Synchronised Alerts and Watchlists Across All Sessions
Price alerts and market notifications are included in the continuity framework. An alert set to trigger when a specific instrument reaches a nominated price level is stored at the account level and will fire through whichever browser session is active at the time, or through a browser notification on a device that has notification permissions enabled.
Traders can view, edit, and cancel their active alerts from any device, and those changes propagate immediately to the other sessions tied to the same account. The alert list is accessible from a dedicated panel within the trading interface, showing the instrument, trigger condition, and current status for each configured alert.
Watchlist synchronisation follows the same pattern. Instruments added to a watchlist in one browser session appear in the same list when the account is accessed elsewhere, sorted according to the arrangement the trader last applied. Multiple watchlists can be maintained simultaneously, each with its own instrument selection and column layout.
"Traders told us they were keeping notes on paper or in a separate document to remind themselves which instruments to check when they switched devices," the spokesperson for HirschmannPrivate added. "That workaround should not be necessary. Synchronised alerts and watchlists mean the platform carries that context, not the trader."
Rollout and Platform Access
The session continuity update is now live for all HirschmannPrivate account holders and does not require any settings change to activate. The synchronisation runs at the account level and applies automatically from the first login following the update.
Traders who previously customised their chart layouts or alert lists will see those settings preserved going forward. New configurations made on any device after the update will be captured and made available across sessions from that point. The feature is available through current browser versions on desktop, tablet, and mobile without additional setup.
