Hellas Upgrades Multiple Facilities at Bowling Green High School

BOWLING GREEN, Ky., Aug. 19, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Multiple facilities at Bowling Green High School have been upgraded with artificial turf from Hellas, A TenCate Company. Hellas has completed the installation of MajorPlay^® for the baseball and softball teams, who have both won multiple state championships. These fields join "The Pit", the homefield for the men's and women's soccer and lacrosse teams, where Matrix H^® Blend was installed in 2023.

The Purples have been loving how the artificial turf performs. "It plays so close to grass," shares Craig Widener, head coach for the boys soccer team at Bowling Green. "It's beautiful and it bounces true."

In addition to playability, both the Major Play and Matrix H Blend products feature ultra-durable, resilient fibers to meet the demands of the highest-level programs. "We're real excited for this to be our homefield and be able to get [a lot] of use out of it," said Lisa Correa, girls head soccer coach at Bowling Green. "We have many teams that are utilizing that field."
