Erika Heilman
Heilman has spent more than eight years in senior leadership roles at HBR. Most recently, she was Deputy Publisher and Vice President, where she led HBR’s commercial strategy and helped drive key growth initiatives, including the launch of HBR Executive, HBR’s premium offering for senior leaders. She continues to serve as Publisher of HBR Press, where she previously held the roles of Associate Publisher and Commercial Director.
“Erika Heilman is an exceptional leader with a deep understanding of HBR’s business,” said Sarah McConville, Co-President of Harvard Business Publishing, who previously served as Group Publisher. “Her vision, strategic judgment, and commercial expertise will be invaluable as we continue to expand how we serve business leaders around the world.”
Heilman’s priorities will include advancing HBR’s membership strategy, events portfolio, strategic partnerships and sponsorships, and enterprise licensing and distribution. She will co-lead HBR Group alongside Editor in Chief Amy Bernstein.
“I’m honored to take on this role at a time when HBR’s mission is more important than ever,” said Heilman. “Leaders are navigating increasing complexity and change, and I’m excited to build on how HBR supports them through new offerings, partnerships, and opportunities to learn from our ideas and from each other.”
Before joining HBR, Heilman co-founded Bibliomotion, a trade publishing imprint specializing in business and parenting titles that was acquired by Taylor & Francis/Informa in 2016. Earlier in her career, she held editorial roles at Nicholas Brealey Publishing, Peterson’s Guides, and John Wiley & Sons.
