HCSC completes rebranding of supplement plans to HealthSpring

CHICAGO, Sept. 14, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Health Care Service Corporation (HCSC) has completed the rebranding of its acquired Medicare Supplement and Supplemental Health & Life (SHL) products to HealthSpring. As the second largest Medicare Supplement carrier in the country based on policyholders served, HCSC offers Medicare Supplement plans in 48 states and the District of Columbia.

Medicare Supplement plans, also known as Medigap plans, help cover gaps in Original Medicare, including deductibles, coinsurance and copayments. These plans can help Medicare beneficiaries manage out-of-pocket health care expenses and maintain more predictable costs.

HealthSpring offers SHL products in 49 markets plus the District of Columbia. Supplemental Health & Life products, including Hospital Indemnity and Dental, Vision and Hearing coverage, provide additional financial protection alongside traditional coverage or a Medicare Advantage plan.

Last year, HCSC moved all of its acquired Medicare Advantage and Prescription Drug Plans to the HealthSpring brand.
