H. Michael Schwartzman Joins CityView as Vice President of Development

Schwartzman, formerly VP, Development at CIM Group, Brings 15 Years of Real Estate Experience to CityView

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- CityView, a premier investment management and development firm focused on urban multifamily real estate in the Western United States, announced today that H. Michael Schwartzman has joined the firm’s Los Angeles office as vice president of development. Schwartzman will report to Managing Director Tony Cardoza and will oversee development of CityView’s Southern California assets, including projects in San Diego, Costa Mesa and Los Angeles’ Koreatown.

Before joining CityView, Schwartzman was a vice president, development at CIM Group, one of the leading real estate and infrastructure investment firms focused on projects in dynamic and densely populated communities throughout North America. In that role, he oversaw the development of large, mixed-use projects that incorporated retail, residential and office spaces.

Prior to CIM Group, Schwartzman held various senior real estate development roles at Ross Development & Investment, Washington Real Estate Investment Trust and The Kaempfer Company. He was also previously a REIT analyst with Friedman, Billings, Ramsey. Schwartzman holds bachelor and master degrees in architecture from Tulane University and a master’s degree in real estate finance from Johns Hopkins University.
