Guggenheim Securities Hires James Schaefer to Build Energy Investment Banking Practice

NEW YORK, March 18, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Guggenheim Securities, the investment banking and capital markets division of Guggenheim Partners, announced today that James Schaefer will join the firm's investment banking department as a Senior Managing Director covering the energy, power and energy technology sector.

Mr. Schaefer will be joining from The Blackstone Group, where he served as Head of Global Power, Energy & Renewables for Blackstone Advisory Partners. Prior to joining Blackstone, he served as the Global Head of the Power and Renewable Energy Group at UBS, following energy and power banking positions at Lehman Brothers, Salomon Brothers and Chase earlier in his career.
