Goldman Sachs Veteran Kostas Pantazopoulos Joins Moore Capital Management

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Moore Capital Management, LP, a global investment management firm, today announced that Kostas Pantazopoulos will join the firm in London as a Managing Director in January 2019. He will work closely with Louis Bacon on the firm’s global macro program.

Mr. Pantazopoulos comes to Moore Capital after spending over 20 years at Goldman Sachs, where he was a partner and, for many years, Global Head of Rates Trading. Most recently, he served as Head of Risk Management Strategies for Goldman Sachs’ Securities Division.

Pantazopoulos joined Goldman Sachs in 1998 and during his career also served on senior committees including Firm-wide Partnership, Firm-wide Risk, Securities Executive, and European Management. He holds a Ph.D. in Science/Computational Finance from Purdue University and is a prolific author on analytic aspects of the markets.

Pantazopoulos’ hiring follows several other recent hires based in Moore Capital’s London office, including portfolio managers Laurent Moulin, Anindya “Andy” Mohinta, and Alexandru “Alex” Radu.
