Genstar Names Jeff Hughes to Strategic Advisory Board

SaaS Industry Leader to Advise on Genstar's Software Investments and Accelerate Portfolio

SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 18, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Genstar Capital, a leading private equity firm focused on investments in targeted segments of the software, financial services, industrials, and healthcare industries, today announced the appointment of Jeff Hughes, a veteran software executive and operator, to the firm's Strategic Advisory Board ("SAB"). Mr. Hughes will focus on Genstar's investments in the software vertical.

Mr. Hughes has a 20-year record of driving market share and profit growth at SaaS businesses, ranging from startups to Fortune 500 corporations. Most recently, Mr. Hughes served as Chief Executive Officer of SaaS company Enverus, a role he held for the duration of Genstar's majority investment in the company. He led Enverus through a period of rapid expansion, completing more than ten acquisitions and growing Enverus to serve 8,000 customers globally, providing real-time analytics and insights to more than 95 percent of U.S. energy producers. Earlier in his career, Mr. Hughes served as General Manager for Digital Insight, Chief Technology Officer for NCR Financial Services, and General Manager for Radiant Systems.
