TAMPA, FL — Functional Transformation Mobile Rehab (FTMR), Florida’s trusted provider of in-home therapy services, is proud to announce its expansion into the Lower Tampa region beginning June 2025. Known for compassionate, results-driven care, FTMR now brings certified lymphedema therapy, wound care, and functional rehabilitation directly to patients in Riverview, Apollo Beach, Gibsonton, Sun City Center, Ruskin, and surrounding communities.
Led by James Ferrara, OTR/L, CLT, WCC, a licensed Occupational Therapist with over 20 years of experience, FTMR is redefining what accessible, high-quality care looks like. Ferrara is certified in lymphedema therapy, wound care, and Parkinson’s rehabilitation and is known for his patient-first approach to mobile therapy.
“We believe therapy should come to you—especially when mobility is limited,” said Ferrara. “This expansion allows us to meet more people where they are, helping them recover and restore their independence at home.”
The expansion goes far beyond geography—it’s about access, convenience, and dignity in care. For many older adults, mobility challenges or transportation barriers can prevent clinic visits. FTMR removes those obstacles with hands-on therapy that happens in the patient’s own environment.

FTMR is a Medicare Part B-approved provider. Patients do not need to be home-bound, and those with secondary insurance often have no out-of-pocket costs. The team also assists with insurance verification and provides documentation under the Lymphedema Treatment Act for compression garment coverage.
