Former U.S. EPA Official Matt Bogoshian Joins REV Company
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) September 16, 2015
REV, a social venture company that provides sustainability education and best practices to businesses, organizations, communities and institutions, announced today that Matt Bogoshian, former U.S. Environmental Protection Agency appointee has joined REV's executive team as Chief Strategy Officer and General Counsel. Mr. Bogoshian's 20 years of service in legal and policy positions at the local, state and national government levels will be an invaluable key to accelerating REV's influence and growth in the U.S.
"We are thrilled to have Matt Bogoshian join the REV team," said Elliot Hoffman, REV CEO. "Matt is an extraordinarily accomplished advocate for the environment and sustainable business. As we enter a new phase of growth, Matt's expertise will help REV in its mission to motivate corporations and organizations of all kinds to not only optimize sustainability practices but to save money while doing it."
As the U.S. EPA's Senior Policy Counsel at the Office of Chemical Safety and Pollution Prevention from 2011 to 2015, Mr. Bogoshian developed policy and led initiatives to prevent pollution and promote sustainability across America. During his tenure, Mr. Bogoshian helped lead multi-agency public private partnership efforts such as the E3: Economy, Energy and the Environment framework and the IMCP partnership program promoting more sustainable economic development. He also advanced multiple programmatic initiatives like the Presidential Green Chemistry Challenge, the Safer Choice product labeling program and Energy Star to optimize collective benefits to American manufacturers and their communities.
"I am excited to join REV, a company dedicated to helping many more Americans find affordable ways to adopt sustainable practices sooner and at scale," said Matt Bogoshian, Chief Strategy Officer and General Counsel at REV. "During my time in Washington, I saw the market gap all over the country. REV is poised to fill that gap by coaching enterprises and communities to affordably find triple bottom line solutions that make profit while creating positive social and environmental outcomes. I am happy to join a talented team working to scale those impacts throughout America and around the world."
Mr. Bogoshian first served as U.S. EPA's Deputy Assistant Administrator for enforcement and compliance assurance. Prior to his Obama Administration appointment, he served at the California Environmental Protection Agency as the Deputy Secretary for Law Enforcement and Counsel where he worked on a variety of issues to include the enforceability of California's Global Warming Solutions Act. For the preceding twelve years he was a Deputy District Attorney for the Monterey County, California Office of the District Attorney specializing in state-wide consumer and environmental prosecutions. He began his legal career as a trial attorney in the U.S. Navy Judge Advocate General Corps where he earned the Joint Service Commendation Medal.
