For quantum-safe encryption, JP Kusumi releases GreenfieldPQC for .NET

SPLIT, Croatia, Aug. 22, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- At a time when IT departments are scrambling to add quantum resistance to their apps, software pioneer JP Kusumi has released GreenfieldPQC, a free and open source NuGet package, to empower .NET developers to "future-proof" their code with post-quantum cryptography (PQC) tools. GreenfieldPQC, released in July 2025 under the MIT License, integrates NIST's newly finalized standards, including FIPS 203 (CRYSTALS-Kyber for key encapsulation), and FIPS 204 (CRYSTALS-Dilithium for digital signatures). Filling a critical gap in symmetric cryptography left unstandardized by NIST, the library introduces Kusumi512, a novel 512-bit stream cipher that, in benchmarks, outperforms Threefish-512 in speed and memory efficiency. An AEAD variant, Kusumi512Poly1305, pairs it with Poly1305 for authenticated encryption.
