Fitch Withdraws Stonebridge Life Insurance Company's 'AA-' IFS Rating

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Fitch Ratings has withdrawn the 'AA-' Insurer Financial Strength (IFS) rating for Stonebridge Life Insurance Company as a result of the company's merger with the surviving entity, Transamerica Life Insurance Company. Accordingly, Fitch will no longer provide ratings or analytical coverage for Stonebridge Life Insurance Company. Aegon N.V. is the parent company for both U.S. insurance operating subsidiaries. The merger was finalized on Oct. 1, 2015.
