Fitch Ratings has updated its 'Rating Criteria for Sports Facilities, Leagues and Teams'. The updated criteria is not expected to have an impact on any current ratings.

The revised criteria report expands on Fitch's approach to rating Sports Facilities including further analysis and insights into the development of base and rating case assumptions. The report also provides Key Rating Factor tables for Sports Leagues and Franchises, previously only Sports Facilities had a Key Rating Factor. As part of the updated criteria, Fitch will now publish Key Rating Factor attributes (Stronger, Midrange, Weaker) in public rating action commentaries and private rating letters for the applicable Key Rating Factor attributes identified for Facilities, Leagues and Franchises. Finally, the report provides an updated section relating to European Football (Soccer) identifying key differences in the league structure and Fitch's rating approach.
