Fitch Publishes U.S. Life Insurers' 2014 Statutory Capital Dashboard

CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Fitch Ratings has published a new dashboard summarizing 2014 statutory capital for U.S. life insurance companies.

In this dashboard, Fitch analyzes year end statutory capital and key drivers for 2014. The life industry's risk adjusted capital remains extremely strong, supported by solid growth in statutory capital. Fitch believes the 2014 required capital levels benefited from modest new business results in capital intensives lines such as ordinary life insurance and the utilization of reinsurance and captive reinsurers to more tightly manage statutory capital requirements.
