Fitch: Stable 2016 Outlook for Latam Protein Sector

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Fitch Ratings says the outlook for the Latin American Protein sector in 2016 is stable for both the sector and for issuer ratings. This reflects our expectation that Fitch-rated Latin American protein operators' credit profiles are expected to remain broadly stable in 2016. Exporters will capture the benefit of the weak real and higher demand from the resumption of beef imports from countries such as China, Saudi Arabia and the U.S. Domestic players will continue to struggle due to the subdued local consumption and higher cost of funding in Brazil.
