Ellie Mae secures win in Ragan’s 2018 Intranet Awards “Employee Recognition” category and receives an honorable mention in the “Launch or Relaunch” category

Ellie Maeâs work with Unily was chosen from a wide pool of entries to receive first prize in the âEmployee Recognitionâ category of Raganâs 2018 Intranet Awards for the ingenuity and impact of its revamped intranet and âCheers for Peersâ widget.

Ellie Mae worked with Unily to increase adoption of Ellie Connect â the intranet used by the 1,600 employees of Ellie Mae. The platform was designed to remove barriers separating employees and to encourage more peer-to-peer interaction and collaboration by facilitating new connections throughout the workforce. As a result, a âCheers for Peersâ widget was conceived as a way of providing an intuitive route for employees to recognize and reward their co-workers. Featured on Ellie Connectâs home page, âCheers for Peersâ has received more than 2,300 employee nominations as of September 2018, was ranked the number one overall method of peer-to-peer recognition at Ellie Mae (as per rewards and recognition survey in 2018) and has spurred a number of additional recognition initiatives from Ellie Mae employees.

Ellie Mae also received an honorable mention in the âLaunch or Relaunchâ category for its âLicense to Succeedâ campaign.

For a buzz-worthy launch of Ellie Connect â a new, central source for internal company information â Ellie Mae generated awareness and excitement with a âLicense to Succeedâ theme (a nod to a famous secret agent film). In theme, employees were encouraged to visit the Ellie Connect landing page and compete in a top-secret âmission.â The mission asked employees to use a series of clicks to learn about the new site. Employees who completed the mission were entered in a drawing for a $500 gift card and other prizes. The âmissionâ helped drive a 90 percent approval rating of Ellie Connect by employees within six months of the launch.
