ENA Launches First Triage Verification for Emergency Nurses
Emergency Nursing Triage Education Program boosts nurses' confidence in triage decisions
To help bridge that gap, ENA launched the Emergency Nursing Triage Education Program. ENTEP, the first and only triage verification program offers standardized education and evaluation process for ED nurses to be verified in triage.
"ENTEP is a truly comprehensive course for nurses who want to bolster their triage education," said ENA President
ENTEP covers a variety of topics, chosen through research and based on five domains. The topics include triage concepts and clinical judgement, focused assessment and questioning for common ED presentations, special populations and considerations, supporting acuity with documentation, communication, triage scenarios, self-care and ESI.
Upon completion of the one-and-a-half-day program, along with pre-course work and passing a written exam, participants will be eligible for 22 CE hours and a four-year verification.
