DC’s New Innovation Hub, STATION DC, Opens Membership Applications
The most strategic room in DC for innovators opens its doors to the region’s next generation of tech leaders and announces plans for flagship Build in DC Summit.
WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- STATION DC, the premier connector of tech and policy players in our nation’s capital, is now accepting applications for General Membership and its Delta Force, a small cohort of DC’s most promising founders, which it will introduce at the inaugural Build in DC Summit this July.
As Washington’s dedicated hub for tech, STATION DC provides a purpose-built convening space designed for strategic discussions, board meetings, and private events. The organization’s physical site, events and programming, resources, and network provide a competitive advantage for founders building frontier innovations.
Now accepting applications, General Membership will provide access for Startups, VCs, Non-Profits, Government, Military, and Corporates to STATION DC’s:
- Headquarters in the Union Market District.
- Network of founders, investors, policymakers, military, philanthropists, and corporate leaders shaping key industries such as AI, energy, and security.
- Private briefings, policy roundtables, and exclusive networking events with policymakers, regulators, and national security leaders.
- Panels, private dinners with industry leaders, and strategic discussions designed to advance national innovation priorities.
- Regulatory and policy intelligence to help members navigate the evolving landscape of frontier industries.
STATION DC’s Delta Force, an annual cohort of DC’s 6-10 most promising startup founders, will be handpicked to receive access to exclusive resources and support. Each Delta Force startup accepted into the cohort will get:
- Complimentary STATION DC membership.
- Strategic engagement opportunities with DC government officials, federal agencies, and policymakers.
- Curated programming, featuring a kickoff event, quarterly gatherings, and dedicated communication channels.
"At STATION DC, we’re not just building a community—we’re delivering results," said Executive Director James Barlia. "By connecting tech and policy, we give innovators the edge they need to lead in industries critical to America’s future."
STATION DC will introduce its inaugural Delta Force cohort at the Build in DC Summit, a flagship event in early July bringing together the region’s and country’s most influential founders, investors, policymakers, and industry leaders. The Summit will serve as a catalyst for connection and collaboration among tech founders leveraging their DC headquarters as a strategic advantage.
"STATION DC is strengthening DC’s position as a leader in technology and innovation," said Nina Albert, Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development. "We are committed to supporting the growth of our local businesses while attracting the next generation of innovators to the District.”
Across frontier industries—such as space, defense, energy, autonomy, healthcare, and more—business leaders are betting on DC’s unique role as the capital of innovation and policy. "STATION DC sits at the center of an emerging ecosystem where the highest levels of government and the most ambitious startups collaborate to solve national challenges," said Grant Verstandig, Founder and CEO of Red Cell Partners, an incubation firm based in the area.
