Consolidated Services Group Celebrates a Decade of Golf Outings Benefiting Make-A-Wish
Lansdale, PA (PRWEB) August 10, 2016
On Monday, June 13, 2016, Consolidated Services Group (CSG) celebrated a decade of fun, friendship and commitment to Make-A-Wish during its Tenth Anniversary Charity Golf Outing at Cedarbrook Country Club in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania. The event raised over $45,000 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Philadelphia, Northern Delaware and the Susquehanna Valley and brought the company's total raised for Make-A-Wish to over $310,000.
CSG sponsors this event as a way to support community programs while showing appreciation to customers and colleagues. Close to 100 golfers representing over 62 companies attended the outing, served as sponsors or donated auction items to support the event. The event began with a shotgun start at 11:00 AM and featured a silent auction, raffle prizes, a 50/50 and various skill and winning team prizes.
Evening festivities included an inspirational address from Dennis J. Heron, president and CEO of Make-A-Wish Philadelphia, Northern Delaware and Susquehanna Valley, and the presentation of commemorative plaques to CSG and the 30 organizations that have continuously supported the charity golf outing.
Michael A. Morrone, founder and CEO of Consolidated Services Group, said, "I am very grateful for the outpouring of generosity from our customers, business partners and employees, who continue to go above and beyond all expectations to support this worthy cause. I want to thank our employees who have spent many hours in addition to their daily work schedules to organize this important event. I feel our tenth year was our best yet! I am also proud to announce that, working together with The Make-A-Wish Foundation, we have granted wishes to 21 children in our community."
Since 1980, the Make-A-Wish Foundation has enriched the lives of children with life-threatening medical conditions through its wish-granting work. The Foundation's mission reflects the life-changing impact that a Make-A-Wish experience has on children, families, referral sources, donors, sponsors and entire communities.
"Make-A-Wish is honored to include CSG among our kind and generous sponsors. The success of this event and the donations it has raised is a testament to their hard work and compassion for helping children less fortunate," stated Dennis J. Heron, president and CEO of Make-A-Wish Philadelphia, Northern Delaware and Susquehanna Valley.
