Columbia College Chicago Chooses QTS for Long-Term Hybrid IT Roadmap

OVERLAND PARK, Kan., April 13, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- QTS Realty Trust (NYSE: QTS), a leading provider of data center, managed-hosting and cloud services announced today that it has been selected by Columbia College Chicago, one of Chicago's top creative academic institutions, to consolidate its IT infrastructure environments and provide a flexible and scalable outsourced hybrid IT data center solution.

Founded in 1890, Columbia College Chicago is an internationally-recognized leader and pioneer in arts and media education. In 2015, it launched a five-year Strategic Plan, which calls for modernizing the college's technology infrastructure, among other long-term growth strategies. QTS' Chicago data center will host Columbia College's IT environment, including deployment of disaster-recovery-as-a-service (DRaaS) to enable rapid failover and recovery of the college's IT environment to QTS' mega data center in Suwanee, Ga.
