Central Securities Corporation Announces Appointment of President
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Mr. Wilmot Kidd, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Central Securities Corporation (NYSE American: CET) announced the appointment by the Board of Directors of John C. Hill as President of the Corporation, effective March 21, 2018. Mr. Kidd will continue in his present roles.
Mr. Hill, 44, joined the Corporation in 2016 as a Vice President. Prior to joining the Corporation, he served as an Investment Analyst with Davis Selected Advisors LP for seven years. Previously, he was a Vice President at Quadrangle Group LLC and an analyst and investment banker at Soundview Technology Group. Mr. Hill graduated from Princeton University in 1996 with an A.B. in Politics.
Commenting on the appointment, Kidd said, “John’s appointment represents another step in Central’s long-term management succession planning.”
Central Securities Corporation, a closed-end investment company, was founded in 1929, and is listed on the NYSE American stock exchange. The Corporation had net assets of approximately $826 million applicable to its 25.1 million shares of common stock outstanding as of December 31, 2017.
