EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn., Aug. 21, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Since its commercial inception, roughly five years ago, CYRIN has passed several milestones. In year three we hit over 50,000 users. Now in year five we have roared past that mark with over 100,000 users. This includes college and university students from around the globe. It includes high school students on specialized programs designed to inspire them to pursue careers in cybersecurity. It includes industry and government users involved in cyber programs from around the world.

From the start, CYRIN has looked to promote ease of use and accessibility to anyone trying to learn and, most importantly, practice, the art of cybersecurity. CYRIN has taught students and learners how to stay on the field and use major tools such as Wireshark, Splunk and OWASP-ZAP. It has developed advanced exercises and attack scenarios where users can train on a virtual SCADA system or Enterprise Network.

Each quarter we look to introduce at least one more lab or scenario onto our platform. Last quarter we introduced a timely new lab on "The Fundamentals of Cryptography".
