50 Arena Football League Players, Coaches Score Union Representation with Local 455

DENVER, Aug. 21, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Members of the Colorado Spartans, a National Arena League professional football team, have voted to join Teamsters Local 455. The players and coaches organized for improved health care, better retirement benefits, and job protections in the offseason.

"Whether its archaeologists, warehouse workers, truckers, or professional football players, Teamsters represent them all," said Dean Modecker, Secretary-Treasurer of Local 455. "We are looking forward to getting these men the Teamsters contract they deserve and supporting them on the field at the Denver Coliseum!"

By joining the Teamsters, members of the Colorado Spartans will have access to jobs in the offseason at any of the 65 employers where Local 455 has collective bargaining agreements.
