First West Coast Chuck's Arcade features brand's largest collection of claw machines, tapping into nostalgia driven gaming boom

DALLAS, Aug. 18, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Chuck E. Cheese will open its 10th Chuck's Arcade™ on Friday, Aug. 22 at Brea Mall in Orange County, California, debuting the brand's first "clawcade".

Claw machines take center stage at the 3,600-square-foot arcade, with nearly half the floor dedicated to these skill-based prize machines. Each claw machine is stocked with exclusive, high-demand items from DC Comics, Hello Kitty, Nintendo and more. From limited-edition plush to sought-after collectibles not available for purchase, unique prizes transform every play into a personal treasure hunt.

The Brea Mall arcade will also feature high-energy racing simulators, sports challenges, and retro classics like Ms. Pac-Man® and Mortal Kombat®. Winners can cash in at the Prize Hub stocked with collector favorites like Funko Pop! figures, mini arcade games, and plush toys, making every win feel like a celebration.

The Chuck's Arcade concept was launched in June creating a nostalgic blend of cutting-edge game titles, retro legends and exclusive features for lifelong fans who grew up under the electric glow of the neighborhood arcade.

The Brea grand opening will feature the public unveiling of a historic animatronic character that will preside over the arcade.  

An online sweepstakes will give 100 fans the chance to be one of the first to experience the clawcade. Winners will receive 100 play points to game their hearts out and entries are open now through Aug. 20 at ChucksArcade.fun/brea-sweeps/. Winners will be announced on Aug. 21 and must check in at 4 p.m. on Aug. 22 to join the celebration.
