CAGC Launches Pro-Employee/Union Free Website to Counter NLRB Ambush Elections

CHARLOTTE, N.C., April 22, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Carolinas Associated General Contractors (CAGC) has launched a website to complement its robust Pro-Employee/Union Free resources to help the Carolinas' construction industry deal with union organizing activity and new "ambush election" rulings from National Labor Relations Board (NLRB). The new web site, www.CAGCUnionFree.org, features CAGC's "Pro-Employee/Union Free toolbox," which includes a model employee handbook, NLRB checklist, union free help desk, access to training opportunities and other resources necessary to successfully deal with union organizing tactics and activities.

The new "ambush election" rule is the latest in an ongoing effort by the Obama administration to use NLRB rulings to provide unions with tools giving them an upper hand over employers when targeting employees for union organizing.
