BreastHab has officially rebranded as Thera Rehab Physical and Occupational Therapy, a Midtown Manhattan private practice specializing in breast rehabilitation, lymphedema therapy, and post-surgical recovery across New York City and the Tri-State Area.
The specialized New York City rehabilitation practice formerly known as BreastHab has officially rebranded as Thera Rehab Physical and Occupational Therapy, marking a significant shift in the clinic's public identity while maintaining its clinical focus on breast cancer rehabilitation, lymphedema care, and post-surgical recovery. The name change reflects the practice's broader therapeutic scope and its continued commitment to serving clients across New York City and the Tri-State Area from its Midtown Manhattan location at 115 West 30th Street.
A New Name, The Same Specialized Care
The rebrand from BreastHab to Thera Rehab in NYC is not a restructuring of services or ownership. The practice retains its one-to-one session model, which differentiates it from larger rehabilitation centers where patients are routinely seen by multiple providers. Clients receiving care for post-mastectomy recovery, axillary web syndrome, post-implant mobility restrictions, scar tissue management, mastitis, and lymphedema management will continue working with the same clinical team under the updated brand name.
The Midtown Manhattan clinic draws patients from across New York City's five boroughs as well as from New Jersey and Connecticut. Why the Rebrand Now
The decision to retire the BreastHab name was driven by a recognition that the previous brand, while descriptive, did not fully capture the range of conditions treated at the clinic. Thera Rehab in NYC provides physical and occupational therapy with a clinical concentration in the following areas:
• Breast cancer rehabilitation, including pre-hab, post-surgical scar tissue mobilization, range-of-motion restoration, and support throughout active treatment
• Lymphedema therapy, including Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT), manual lymphatic drainage, and compression garment fitting, assessment, and recommendations
• Cosmetic and reconstructive surgery recovery, supporting patients following procedures such as DIEP flap reconstruction, liposuction, abdominoplasty, body lifts, breast augmentation, mommy makeovers, and breast reductions
• Axillary web syndrome treatment, a condition commonly arising after sentinel lymph node biopsy or axillary dissection
• Mastitis and clogged milk duct treatment, including milk blebs and milk blisters
• Scar management and prevention, including treatment for fibrosis and soft tissue adherence
• Lymphatic care and wellness, including manual lymphatic drainage after surgery and vascular insufficiency support
All sessions are conducted on a one-to-one basis, meaning each patient works directly and exclusively with their assigned therapist throughout the treatment session. The practice does not operate on a group or shared-session model. Thera Rehab's clinical team includes Certified Lymphedema Therapists (CLTs) and Certified Cosmetic Surgery Therapists (CCSTs) with advanced training in oncology rehabilitation and manual therapy.
