The Braun booth (#3057) will display two emergency vehicles. The first is a 2014 Super Chief Type I ambulance, a customer unit from the City of Miami. Built on the 2015 Freightliner M2, the Super Chief Type I is one of the market's safest, largest and most convenient ambulances. To enable emergency personnel to freely and safely move in and out of the model, it features a door forward design, a large pass thru opening, and dual attendant seats. For added convenience, the ambulances offers multiple storage options including pull-out compartments above the rear wheels on each side, as well as a custom recessed area at the foot of the squad bench. Also included are two (2) 6-point harness seated positions, a custom designed ALS stack with roll up door, flip down electrical compartment, angled heating and air conditioning system and warning lighting in C-channel rub rails.
Also on display in Braun's booth (#3057) will be a 2015 Chief XL Type I ambulance from Blair Township in Grawn, Michigan. Mounted on the 2015 Ford F-450 4x4 chassis, the 2015 Chief XL Type I ambulance is completely customizable to meet the unique needs of fire and EMS crews and patients. For safer and more comfortable patient loading and unloading, the Blair Township model features a Stryker Power-LOADTM and Power cot. During transport, swivel based 5-point harness chairs enable emergency crews to face and attend to patients. The unit also features Braun's unique SolidBodyTM construction, EZ Glide door, EZ 02 lift and a front bumper with customizable sounds. Integrated Whelen M-9 lighting scene/emergency lights provide high visibility on the exterior of the unit, while the Vital Max lighting system creates a suitable work environment on the interior.
In GM's booth #3920, Braun will showcase a 2014 Chief XL Type III ambulance from Steuben County, Indiana. It's built on a 2015 Chevy G-4500 with an innovative EZ-02 lift, dual vista displays, and center ducted heating and air conditioning system. A lockable drug drawer ensures security for medicines and medical supplies, and an OTE temperature controlled cabinet in the upper front wall keeps narcotics at proper temperature. In addition, warning lights in the C-channel rub rails and angled cabinets along each side of the CPR seat offer increased safety and storage where it's critical. The unit also includes a recessed D bottle storage in the squad bench and a Franklin digital clock.
