Berkshire Hathaway Travel Protection Appoints Dean Sivley as President

STEVENS POINT, Wis.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Berkshire Hathaway Travel Protection (BHTP), a division of Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Concierge, LLC, today announced that it has named Dean Sivley as President. Dean succeeds John Noel, who is moving to an executive advisory role with the company due to illness.

Dean was most recently Chief Executive Officer of GroundLink, a tech-enabled executive car service. Before that, he was President of Travel Guard - Americas, one of the world’s largest travel insurance providers, and Chief eBusiness Officer of Travel Guard’s global operations.

John, who has been a leader in the travel insurance industry for decades, was recently diagnosed with early stage Lewy Body Disease. He will transition to an advisory role at BHTP, while Dean oversees the company’s strategic growth and robust new product pipeline. Dean will report to Sanjay Godhwani, Executive Vice President of Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance.

Dean’s additional travel industry experience includes serving as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Orbitz for business and alliance marketing for Orbitz Worldwide; Chief Executive Officer of Atlas Travel Technologies; and Vice President of Marketing and Chief Information Officer, Rosenbluth International. He was also Chief Strategy Officer at Neon Systems and VerticalNet Inc.
