Bell Medical and Feellife Bring the AirICU Max+ Mesh Nebulizer to U.S. Respiratory Therapists

St. Louis, United States - August 15, 2026 / Bell Medical, Inc. /

ST. LOUIS, MO, July 28, 2026: Bell Medical, a supplier of anesthesia and respiratory products to hospitals and surgery centers, today announced a partnership with Shenzhen-based Feellife to bring the AirICU Max+ portable mesh nebulizer to hospitals, intensive care units, and emergency departments across the United States.

The AirICU Max+ is a portable vibrating mesh nebulizer designed for ventilated and spontaneously breathing patients in pediatric and adult clinical settings.

Why This Partnership, Why Now

Respiratory conditions such as COPD and asthma remain among the leading causes of ICU admissions and emergency department visits. Clinicians increasingly need aerosol delivery devices that are portable, efficient, and adaptable to both ventilated and non-ventilated patients without the bulk, noise, and medication waste associated with traditional jet nebulizers.

The portable mesh nebulizer market was valued at US$1.2 billion in 2024 and is projected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 7.5% through 2034. This growth is driven by hospital adoption, home respiratory care, and ongoing post-COVID respiratory preparedness.¹ This partnership positions Bell Medical to meet that demand with a clinically validated, FDA-cleared device.

About the AirICU Max+

The AirICU Max+ uses Feellife’s AiMesh® vibrating mesh technology to generate particles with a mass median aerodynamic diameter (MMAD) of less than 5 μm, supporting efficient deep-lung deposition. Key features include:

  • Ultra-compact and portable: Measures 86 × 54 × 18 mm and weighs 71 g, allowing it to fit at the bedside or in a pocket
  • Ultra-quiet operation: Operates at ≤65 dB(A), making it suitable for ICU and neonatal settings
  • Flexible nebulization modes: Provides continuous or breath-synchronized delivery through an integrated airflow sensor
  • Dual power source: Includes a built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery that operates for 90 to 120 minutes, plus an AC USB adapter rated for 100 to 240 V
  • Smart connectivity: Features a touchscreen interface and connects to the iBreathe app for iOS and Android via Bluetooth for treatment tracking and remote monitoring
  • Broad patient range: Designed for pediatric and adult patients, including ventilated and non-ventilated patients
  • Multiple circuit options: Includes adult 22 mm, pediatric 15 mm, and infant 10 mm T-pieces
  • Medication compatibility: Supports bronchodilators, corticosteroids, antibiotics, and saline
  • Regulatory clearances and certifications: FDA 510(k) clearance, CE marking, and ISO 13485 certification²

Clinical Context

Peer-reviewed studies have shown that vibrating mesh nebulizers can deliver medication more efficiently than conventional jet nebulizers, with lower residual medication volumes and reduced waste. This is particularly relevant for mechanically ventilated patients, where medication loss within the circuit can be significant.³ Breath-synchronized delivery further reduces waste and may help limit aerosol dispersion into the surrounding environment.

What This Partnership Means

Under this partnership, Bell Medical will sell and distribute the AirICU Max+ throughout the United States and North America. The AirICU Max+ and 10 mL medication cups will be available through Bell Medical beginning August 1, 2026.

“We are excited to introduce the AirICU Max+, along with AirICU medication cups and accessories, as an alternative to Aerogen controllers for respiratory therapy departments in hospitals across the United States. Feellife’s mesh nebulizer products offer significant clinical advantages that respiratory therapists will appreciate,” said Kevin Lueders, President of Bell Medical.
