Firm acquires $1B investment firm and expands investment team

DAYTON, Ohio, June 17, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Beacon Capital Management ("Beacon"), a leading provider of risk-managed investment portfolios and advisor practice support, today announced the strategic acquisition of Astor Investment Management ("Astor"), a $1 billion investment management firm based in Chicago. The transaction, expected to close in August 2025, marks a key milestone in a year of significant momentum for Beacon—defined by ongoing product development, advisor engagement, and long-term focus on its people and purpose. 

The acquisition brings approximately $1 billion in assets under management across separately managed accounts (SMAs), unified managed accounts (UMAs), and mutual funds to Beacon's platform. It also adds a macroeconomic, rules-based risk methodology that complements Beacon's existing data-driven investment strategies. Astor's Chief Investment Officer, Jan Eckstein, will join Beacon as Assistant Vice President, Portfolio Design, helping unify both firms' disciplined, rules-based philosophies and supporting the expansion of new investment solutions to meet evolving client needs. She will sit on Beacon's Investment Committee along with Astor's CEO, Bryan Novak.
