BTR Debuts 6C Ultra-Fast-Charging Graphite Anodes T-Max and T-Pro
-- BTR New Material Group has introduced two new graphite anode materials designed for 6C ultra-fast charging, expanding battery performance across a wider temperature range during The Battery Show Asia held in Hong Kong.

Both materials are engineered to support charging scenarios capable of reaching full charge in around 10 minutes under 6C conditions, while improving battery stability and durability in both high-and low-temperature environments.
According to BTR, the T-Max achieves fast charging through customized modification of petroleum-coke precursors used in artificial graphite production. The resulting microstructure enables faster lithium-ion transport pathways while reducing heat generation during rapid charging.
The T-Pro is the industry’s first natural graphite anode material designed to achieve 6C ultra-fast charging, while maintaining a high specific capacity of 365 mAh/g. Through coordinated optimization of intrinsic structure and interface stability, the material also improves charging performance under low-temperature conditions.
Compared with the previous generation T Gr. graphite, T-Max shows a 12% improvement in high-temperature fast-charge cycle retention and an 18% improvement in high-temperature storage performance. For T-Pro, fast-charging performance under extreme cold conditions has also improved. At −30°C, both charging and discharging power at 50% SOC have increased by 15.4% and 17.6%, respectively, compared with the previous generation.
As EV battery systems continue evolving toward higher-voltage platforms and faster charging capabilities, anode materials are becoming a critical enabler of next-generation battery performance.
Against this backdrop, BTR also announced the launch of the BTR AI Materials Lab during the event — a joint initiative with SHINES and Rhinovate aimed at accelerating AI-driven innovation in battery materials.
BTR has developed a diversified portfolio spanning anode materials, cathode materials, and new advanced materials, and continues to invest in material technologies to support the rapidly evolving new energy industry.
