Astronomer and AWS Announce Strategic Collaboration Agreement

The SCA allows enterprises to seamlessly migrate to the cloud to build, run, and observe critical data pipelines

NEW YORK, July 10, 2025 /PRNewswire/ --  Astronomer, the company behind Astro, the leading unified DataOps platform powered by Apache Airflow^®, today announced a strategic collaboration agreement (SCA) with Amazon Web Services (AWS). This SCA will help customers accelerate their data movement to AWS with Astro and modernize their data infrastructures for greater agility and cost efficiency.

The SCA enhances Astronomer's integration with key AWS services, making it easier for organizations to build, run, and observe critical data pipelines in the cloud. Astronomer will provide specialized expertise to help customers migrate legacy data systems to AWS while optimizing their data workflows using Airflow, the industry standard for data orchestration. Under the agreement, Astronomer and AWS will develop enhanced integrations with AWS services, including Amazon Redshift, Amazon EMR, Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3), and AWS Lambda. The companies will also co-invest in go-to-market activities and provide customers with streamlined procurement through AWS Marketplace.
