JMP’s Harvest Capital Makes Minority Investment in Astor

CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Astor Investment Management LLC has formed a long-term partnership with JMP Group, an investment banking and alternative asset management firm, to develop new investment strategies for individual and institutional investors. Also under the partnership, JMP’s asset management subsidiary, Harvest Capital Strategies LLC, has made a minority investment in Astor Investment Management, which currently has over $2 billion of assets under management (as of 11/30/17).

The partnership will leverage Astor’s macroeconomics expertise and its proprietary Astor Economic Index® (AEI). The AEI provides a real-time “now-cast” of the economy and can be used as a risk management and asset allocation tool by “robo-advisors.”
